THE REV. DR. WOODLEIGH H. VOLLAND, SENIOR PASTOR
“Pastor Woody”, “Father Woody” or just “Woody” (as he is known to most people) is the founding Rector of Epiphany. With his spiritual gifts identified as preaching, evangelism and leadership, Woody has degrees from both Florida and Florida State, a Masters in Divinity and a Doctorate in Homiletics (preaching). He and wife, Nancy, have five children, the last two of whom are at Auburn and Clemson. When not working on a sermon, Woody is either spoiling their Golden Retrievers, working in wood shop, or watching college football with Nancy.
MR. MATTHEW HACKLER, DIRECTOR, MUSIC MINISTRIES
Matt has had a passion for music since he was a kid. Growing up in Church choirs, running worship for youth groups and mission trips ... for him, music and serving the Lord have always gone hand in hand. During the week, he is a Trust Officer at The First National Bank of Mount Dora. He and his wife, Jeanne, recently had their first child. When he isn’t working or playing music, he’ll probably be found in the gym, fishing, or under his project car.
MRS. TAMI KUPCHICK, DIRECTOR, CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
A passion for equipping children to become faithful followers of Christ is what drives Tami. Providing support, encouragement and opportunities to help kids grow to love God, Tami has been serving our children for over 3 years. Tami and her husband Ed, a Border Patrol agent, have two amazing children at Mount Dora Christian Academy: Morgan, age 13, and Christian, age 10.
RACHEL STOREY, PARISH ADMINISTRATOR
MRS. DEBBIE WIELAND, WORSHIP ASSISTANT
Debbie has been with Epiphany since its inception and oversees all the details of our services: the Altar Guild that prepares the Table, the Lay Readers that proclaim God’s Word to the people, and the Lay Eucharistic Ministers that take Communion to those unable to make it to church. She and her husband, Peter, live in Sorrento with two children, two grandchildren, two cats, three dogs and a potbelly pig!
MRS. CHERYL DUDLEY, OFFICE VOLUNTEER
With more than 40 years of experience volunteering in church offices, Cheryl is an invaluable contributor for all the little things that otherwise might fall through the cracks. She and her husband, Dave, moved from Massachusetts to Tavares in 2005 and she is often found at the church office asking, “Is there anything I can do to help?” There always is, and it’s always done perfectly, with a great attitude.
MR. JOHN FREEMAN, TREASURER
MR. ROB RACE, FACILITIES MANAGER
Rob has been a Mount Dora resident since 1975 and was an insurance agent for State Farm for 35 years before “retiring” in 2010. He now hunts, fishes, plays a little golf when the urge hits, and he does an extraordinary job of keeping everything about Epiphany clean and working beautifully.
MRS. FRAN PARKER, EVANGELISM MINISTRIES
Fran leads a team of men and women who are called to a single purpose. In her own words, “we share the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Gospel of His truth, and sharing His love so people may know that they can be heaven bound.” Her favorite Bible passage is Psalm 91 which includes “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'” Fran is married to Ronald Parker and the only thing she hasn’t retired from is ministering joyfully in the Lord’s service!
MRS. JODI MCEWEN, PUBLIC RELATIONS
Jodi and her husband Kevin are owners of Hillcrest Insurance and, having lived in Eustis most of her life, Jodi is involved and well-connected with a vast array of civic and community organizations. As such, she keeps Epiphany “out there” in the community, making sure that our church leaders and members are seen and involved in nearly every aspect of life in Eustis. When not flying from one appointment to the next, you’ll probably catch her adding to her boot collection!
MRS. MARIBETH RACE, PRAYER MINISTRIES
Maribeth and her husband, Rob, have been in Mount Dora since 1975 and, with a very precious and discerning heart, she oversees Prayer Teams, Prayer Chain and Sunday prayer ministries of Epiphany. She is also one of the key leaders for our Women’s Bible Studies, sits on the Ministry Council and is a frequent volunteer with some of the children’s activities. She has two grown children and, when she’s not in a kitchen someplace, she’s out providing hospitality to someone in need.
